Marie-Victoire Wickers is a first year associate at The Law Offices of Raoul Bustillo, LLC. Marie was born and raised in Bordeaux, France. She is a cum laude graduate of Sorbonne University Law School. Marie obtained her LLM from Cardozo University in New York, with a concentration in intellectual property. In 2019, she passed the New York bar exam.
Prior to joining The Law Offices of Raoul Bustillo, Marie was a staff attorney at Jones Day. She worked in the financial market department and focused on litigation. In addition, she participated in the firm’s Laredo Project, where she worked pro bono on behalf of immigrants seeking asylum in the United States. Wanting to have a more personal relationship with her clients, and to assist them directly, Marie left Jones Day and joined the Law Offices of Raoul Bustillo in August 2020. Marie now focuses her work on personal injury and workers compensation matters.
A squash player since the age of 8, Marie is a disciplined, determined competitor and a talented athlete. She has ranked among the 20 best players in France. Most weekends, you will find Marie giving squash lessons at the River Club in New York. She also volunteers at Street Squash, a charitable organization whose mission is to teach squash and provide academic assistance to underprivileged communities in Harlem and Newark.
